As Summer Recedes
Original Mixed Media Artwork, 2012
$495 (Free U.S. Shipping) 🌻

A sunflower bends beneath the weight of a season nearing its end.

Created during a period of transition, As Summer Recedes explores the beauty that exists in moments of change. Layers of paint, collage, pattern, and texture weave together to create a visual record of growth, abundance, and the quiet surrender that accompanies every turning season.

Though created years before Path of the Spiritweaver was born, this piece carries many of the themes that continue to appear throughout my work today: nature as metaphor, the passage of time, and the stories hidden within layered surfaces.

The sunflower remains turned toward the light even as summer begins to fade.

Sometimes that is enough.
