Chris's Snail
Chris’s Snail is one of the earliest pieces from my Soul Painting Series and marks a pivotal moment in my journey as an artist. It’s a deeply personal piece that began as an experiment in active awareness—being fully present with every stroke and allowing divine energy to flow through me. I was inspired by Eckhart Tolle's Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose, which opened my eyes to the transformative power of living in the Now.
This painting originally started two years prior, as one of my first ventures into abstract art. Coming back to it felt like reuniting with an old friend, and the fluid, spiraling forms became a kind of dance—two swirling energies finding their own rhythm and space. Naming it Chris’s Snail just felt right, as it seemed to reflect the quiet, unassuming wisdom of moving slowly and mindfully through life.
Looking back, this piece became the foundation for my more adventurous and dynamic work that followed, including my Country Road Ride Series. It reminds me of how presence and patience shape not just art, but life itself.
